Funko - All Hands

Role: Creative Manager, Internal Communications
Scope: Narrative direction, presentation design, visual system, executive alignment

Overview

Led creative direction for Funko’s All Hands, shaping how company priorities, performance, and future direction were communicated to internal teams.

Partnered with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business updates into a clear, engaging, and cohesive presentation experience that aligned teams and reinforced company momentum.

The Challenge

The All Hands brought together updates from multiple departments, each with different priorities, messaging styles, and levels of clarity.

The core challenge was creating alignment and consistency:

  • Unifying content into a single, cohesive narrative

  • Elevating dense or fragmented information into something clear and engaging

  • Ensuring executive messaging landed with impact across a broad internal audience

  • Managing fast-moving updates and last-minute changes

My Role

I led the creative and communication approach, focusing on:

  • Structuring the overall narrative flow of the presentation

  • Translating leadership messaging into clear, visually cohesive storytelling

  • Partnering directly with executives to refine and align on key messages

  • Managing feedback loops across stakeholders to maintain clarity and momentum

A key part of my role was simplifying complexity—helping teams focus on what mattered most and how to communicate it effectively.

Key Contributions

  • Established a unified visual and narrative system across all segments

  • Elevated executive presentations to be more clear, structured, and engaging

  • Streamlined cross-functional input into focused, actionable creative direction

  • Improved overall flow and pacing, making the presentation easier to follow and more impactful

Outcome

Delivered a cohesive All Hands experience that improved clarity of company priorities and strengthened alignment across teams.

The structured approach reduced last minute confusion and enabled smoother execution, allowing leadership to communicate with greater confidence and impact.

Reflection

This project reinforced the importance of clarity and alignment in internal communications.

Strong creative direction isn’t just about visuals, it’s about helping teams communicate effectively, especially when information is complex or evolving.
