Meta Connect 2025 Developer Keynote
Role: Creative Lead, Keynote Experience, Strategic Narrative
Scope: Narrative direction, visual system, cross-functional alignment, executive communication
Overview
Led creative direction for the developer keynote at Meta Connect 2025, shaping how complex platform innovations were translated into a clear, cohesive, and engaging stage experience for a global audience.
Partnered across product, marketing, and executive teams to align on a unified narrative, ensuring each segment contributed to a larger story while maintaining clarity for both live and livestream audiences.
The Challenge
The keynote brought together multiple product announcements, each with its own priorities, stakeholders, and level of technical depth.
The core challenge was not just design, it was alignment:
Unifying disparate narratives into a single, coherent story
Balancing technical accuracy with accessibility
Navigating evolving content and late-stage changes
Ensuring leadership messaging landed with clarity and impact
My Role
I operated at the intersection of creative direction and communication, focusing on:
Defining the narrative structure across keynote segments
Translating product complexity into clear visual storytelling
Facilitating alignment between cross-functional teams and executives
Leading iterative reviews and guiding feedback into actionable creative decisions
A key part of my role was ensuring that feedback loops remained productive, distilling input from multiple stakeholders into a focused direction without losing momentum.
Key Contributions
Focused on shaping moments that grounded the keynote in clarity and human impact, ensuring the experience resonated beyond feature-level messaging.
Helped establish a rhythm across the keynote that made complex information easier to follow, while maintaining engagement throughout the presentation.
Outcome
Delivered a cohesive keynote experience that aligned multiple teams under a single narrative, enabling clearer communication of product direction to a global developer audience.
Internally, the process improved cross-team alignment and reduced ambiguity during final production stages—allowing teams to execute more efficiently under tight deadlines.
Reflection
This project reinforced that at scale, creative leadership is less about individual outputs and more about driving alignment and clarity across teams.
Strong communication, especially with executives, was critical in turning complexity into something focused, understandable, and impactful.
